Kimberly Truhler is a film historian with a specialization in motion picture costume designers and their influence on fashion. She has introduced films at the TCM Classic Film Festival and appeared on air with former host Robert Osborne and with Ben Mankiewicz. Kimberly appeared as an expert in all four parts of the 2019 CNN docuseries “American Style.” She also has consulted on film and fashion for the BBC, Christie's, the National Film Registry, and Elle magazine. The foundation of Kimblerly’s work is what she calls The Style Essentials—50 films with iconic costume design from the 1920s to 1980s. She has taught college-level courses on this topic to fashion and film majors. Kimberly is known for her social media and web presence, GlamAmor, as well as her popular speaking series at Hollywood’s historic Egyptian Theatre—a seven-part series on The Style Essentials and a six-part series on fashion in pre-Code films called “The Style of Sin.”
