Republic Advisory Committee was established by the Prime Minister of Australia (28 April, 1993) Paul Keating. It's committee, in the words of the Prime minister, is to "prepare an options paper which describes the minimum constitutional changes necessary to achieve a viable Federal Republic of Australia, without examining options which would otherwise change our way of government."
This is a paper design to describe briefly some of the major issues relevant to the terms of reference of the Republic Advisory Committee and a guide to members of the public.
