One Easter Sunday, local newspaperman, Tucker Stewart, spies Sylvia Sumner dashing across the road from an alleyway. Certain she is on her way to meet her lover, Jim Hart, he pursues her, in the hopes of preventing this terrible mistake. The unfortunate result is that he is seen following her, by her amateur detective husband, Forty Sumner. Jim Hart appears to be off the hook for now, as the unsuspecting Tucker, who has loved Sylvia all his life, is now pursued by Forty, gun in hand. The power is out and obsessions run high when the lives of these four friends are thrown together under surprising and uncomfortable circumstances. With a touch of humor, the sins of the fathers of Edenville emerge as the story unfolds. Tucker, Sylvia, Forty, and Jim must pass this test, or die trying.
