Steve Hickman is a writer without a muse. He writes romance novels and is by all accounts - well by his own account, really - quite good at it. Steve, however, is too shy to publish his own work. He makes a living by working in a job that pays him well but otherwise is quite unfulfilling. On a quest to blow off some steam with friends, Steve goes to a bar with some work colleagues. Perhaps, it was the drinks or may be it was the need to let someone into his private hobby, but Steve confesses to his co-worker Kathy about his adventures as a romance novelist. Kathy is supportive and asks Steve if she could read some of his work. Steve is a little reluctant at first but gives Kathy a peak into his world. Kathy for her part, loves Steve's writing but suggests maybe he could do a better job writing for his female characters. This leaves Steve perplexed - how could he, a man, write better for women? There is a way of course - Steve has to walk a mile in a woman's shoes. Steve turns in his tweed cardigans and buttoned up shirts and puts on the pumps and skirts of a beautiful woman as he embarks on a night of discovery as Catalina, his female alter ego. But as things go from exploration to explicit, will Steve ever return to being himself or will Catalina stay for good?
