Landis Wade is a recovering trial lawyer turned author and podcaster who has interviewed more than 300 authors on Charlotte Readers Podcast about their books and writing lives (charlottereadespodcast.com). His third book in The Christmas Courtroom Trilogy—The Christmas Redemption—won the Holiday category of the 12th Annual National Indie Excellence Awards.

His latest novel is a blend of mystery, history and legal thriller, called "Deadly Declarations," where an unlikely trio of retirees try to solve the mystery of the 250 year old Mecklenburg Declaration of Independence, actions which–if successful–will change U.S. history. The novel is based on a true story about a document supposedly signed in Charlotte, North Carolina, one year before "the" Declaration of Independence was signed in Philadelphia.

Landis's short work has appeared in a variety of publications. He is an active participant in the writing community. When Landis doesn’t have a microphone or keyboard in his hands, he’s probably holding a fly-rod, golf club, book or cold beer.
