Fatima Barkatulla is a British author, Islamic scholar, and award-winning lecturer based in London.

She has had a rich Islamic education from an early age thanks to her parents. In her teens, she studied Arabic and Islamic studies in Egypt.

She went on to graduate from two Islamic seminaries based in London, with a specialisation in Islamic Jurisprudence.

Fatima is a key contributor to the discourse surrounding Muslim women in the West, contributing to Westminster Faith Debates, documentaries & live shows for BBC Radio 4, BBC World Service, as well as BBC television, Channel 4 and Islam Channel.

She lives in a leafy part of London with her husband and four children and she presents the IlmFeed Podcast.
