John Spearman (Jake to his friends and colleagues) is a Latin teacher and coach at a prestigious New England boarding school. Before joining the world of academia, Spearman had been a sales and marketing executive for 25 years. In 2006 he walked away from an executive position with a Fortune 500 company to return to school. He earned his M.A. in Latin and began teaching thereafter.
