Ali's debut novel The Trivia Night, about a group of primary school parents who partner-swap at a charity fundraiser, was published in February 2022 and became a global bestseller.

Next came The Running Club, in which a group of friends sweat out their acrimony on the running track until someone's resentment turns deadly.

Ali's next book, The School Run, which sees a group of mums battle to the death for school places for their sons, is out now.
