Heather's first venture into the world of book writing was a short story in kindergarten about Winnie the Pooh, and a mishap in the Hundred Acre Wood.
She's written countless stories since then, but she still loves to write about hope, resilience and happily ever after - in its many different forms.
Her writing career started in journalism and magazine writing, and led to novels and children's books.
Heather lives in Illinois with her husband, two little boys, Boxer dog Winnie, and a snuggly black cat named Salem.
Heather also writes under the pen names H.M. Swick and Heather Swick.
