James Michael Welsh, professor emeritus of English at Salisbury University. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in English from Indiana University and a Master of Arts and Doctor of Philosophy from the University of Kansas. He was a co-founder and editor for more than 30 years of the academic journal Literature/Film Quarterly and was the founding president of the Literature/Film Association.
He was the author or co-author of 24 books, a contributed to many more, and authored numerous essays and reviews.
