The musician, actor and writer Heinz Strunk (legal name Mathias Halfpape) was born in Hamburg in 1962. His memoir "Meat is my Veg" has sold half a million copies. It has since been adapted into a prize-winning radio play, an operetta at the Hamburger Schauspielhaus and also a feature film. "The Golden Glove" topped the bestseller lists for months and was nominated for the Leipzig Book Fair Prize 2016. In autumn 2016, he received the Wilhelm Raabe Prize. Strunk is a founding member of the cult comedian trio "Studio Braun" and had his own television show on VIVA.
